Know what you mean about trying it! Have only seen 2-color HG and very few 4-color ones so couldn't wait to try this. This pattern produces 2 identical blocks at once so I do 2 at a time to get 4 identical ones. Basically, one pair of HST's are set on top of the other HST, sewn tog, cut and sewn tog again. Will explain better in a tutorial if others need that but start off like this:
1) take one dark sq. and one lt. sq, right sides tog, take a felt tip pen and draw a line corner to corner.
2) repeat step 1 (I do 2 at once that produces 4 blocks)
3) now you have 2 bl. to chain sew tog down one side (1/4" away) and come back up the other side.
4) Cut both bl. apart on the felt tip line.
5) Lay one HST on top of the other HST and draw a line corner to corner. Make sure opposites are lined up right.
6) Finger feel your seams and chain sew tog down one side of drawn line and up the other.
7) Cut both bl. on the felt tip line.
8) You now have 4 identical QST's!

Have fun with this scrappy method.
cool. thank you :D
