I saw some pictures on the web and just used the same size HST as in the body of the quilt. Mine were 6 1/2 inch unfinished HST.

the 1st quilt I made. Mypattern doesnt have the upper and lower boarder 1/2 sq trianges , is that something you added to lenghten the quilt. Can you share your measurements ??? I would love to do another and really like the idea of having it rectangular rather than square .
