My father was color blind. In WWII he was a pilot and would have been sent to the front, but about that time digital instrumentation came out and it is RED AND GREEN. He could never pass the tests. So he was grounded and spent the entire war in Florida teaching classroom flying at the Naval Air Station in Orlando. Took Mom to the Officer's club and the Daytona Beach. Thanks Heaven he was color blind and I have no children to pass it on to. All the cars he bought were mouse gray.

My husband doesn't sew at all. He is color blind with about half the colors, but when something is "off" he comes up with great color suggestions! A few years ago he told me since I quilt, he'll do the cooking (turns out he's a better chef than I ever was), and he cleans! But he won't dust! When I try to help he tells me I'm doing the hard stuff, let him do the rest! NO, he's not for sale or trade!!!
