This is definitely a 15 model, manufactured in 1939. The this was the only model on which Singer placed the tension on the face plate area. If all of the machine parts (minus the motor) are original then the following applies. As to the specific type of 15 it is most likely a 15-88 treadle that was later converted to electric. The 15-88 was a treadle only model and came with a spoked wheel. The 15-88 was a hand crank machine and came with a spoked wheel. The 15-90 was electric and came with a solid wheel. Interesting to note, though, that the 88, 89 and 90 are the exact same machine built alike with the only difference being how the machine is powered.
