It is not hard just a lot of pieces I find it relaxing to do but I do hard sew most of my blocks. Here is a link to the same block using some paper piecing. The block is called pineburr. Looking at this pattern I do not think you could make it from a f8th.

I am glad you like it and that I changed my mind on what block to do for you. I had also made the triangles out of different fabric and did not like them with yours so they are going into the next block for someone else.
