singer quantum stylist 9960 - Is this a good machine
I found this machine for $329.99 with tons of feet and accessories. Is this a good machine? I have read reviews and have seen good and bad. I am a fairly new quilter and currently have a brother SQ9000 witch I love. I have not been able to find anything about the throat size. The brother is really small and so far, with the lap size quilts (which is all I have made) I have been able to do as long as I do QAYG. About the biggest negative I have seen is a jamming issue,which would drive me nuts! The 2011 model is supposed to not jam like the 2010. I thought I would ask all you experts here if it would be a decent machine for the money. Or perhaps there is one you could suggest in the $500.00 range. I know that is not alot for a good machine but I am still learning to cut and sew a straight line! LOL
