for 500 since you have the sq9050 which has lots of decorative stitching , I would get the brother straight stitch PQ1500s they are workhorses, very strongly built and have a 9 inch harp which is a great deal more than your SQ9050. People really love this model and the straight stitch juki's which are slightly more expensive. 500 is plenty for a good machine. If you want a nice overall machine the brother PC-420 off amazon has been popular, the harp space is bigger than yours but not sure how much bigger, but you can always ask brother customer service by sending them an email
