Yes anyone can put their favorite color down. and if someone says they have pet allergies you will not get someone with a pet.
Thanks for input as this is my frist time doing this and there is lots to learn.

An afterthought -- you ask if we have allergies, have you considered asking if we have in-house pets. I certainly wouldn't want anything I make going to someone with cat allergies! I also put my favourite colours on the form even though you didn't ask -- I'd certainly like to know what colours my recipient likes.
