I'm so glad you posted this thread and Yvonne thank-you for the picture.
I started January 1st making Yo's for a quilt, I have now completed 7 thousand for a king sized quilt, just stitching in the evening while watching TV. They are color coordinated from the same fabric line, all pastels. I've made a plain cloth very light weight white quilt that I will be attaching them to starting this evening. I've marked the quilt with vertical lines and will attach each tacking at the 12~3~6 and 9 positions.
I was most concerned about making just a coverlet as when I've seen older Yo Yo coverlets they always seem to have breaks where they are tacked together. Since this is so large I wanted the stability of having it attached to something making it a quilt. It may take two men and a boy to make the bed when it's finished but I'm hoping it will be as pretty "in person" when completed as it is in my minds eye!
I'm thinking of posting a picture of the all the Yo Yo's online here before I start sewing them onto the quilt...
