Love the low branches on the tree...I remember those days. A friend of mine even went as far as putting her tree in an old fashion playpen! It was safe in there.
My sister-in-law put her tree in a playpan for years--between little kids and cats, it was much safer. BTW this was back when playpens weren't old fashioned--they were the norm.
