check with Glenn - his computer got hacked but he should be back soon. I have a Singer 15 that a lot of the paint has been ground off - Glenn has lots of advice on that subject. He advised that I get all of the old paint off - he also said I would have to get the surface very smooth - then take it to someone who is used to painting cars to have it painted. I think if you google search you can also find some info on painting a sewing machine.
