yes that's a huge part of what was throwing me off! A lot of it seems to be just planning ahead. I also could never figure out where to end that last feather. I started kind of melding that very last feather into the top of the spine so it looks a little more like a teardrop - it made SUCH a huge difference. Now I need to practice continuous feathers. I have this start/stop thing happening and need to do a continuous line and get them to seem more naturally flowing. Thank you for the dot tip!
Looks like you're doing great!

Sharon Schamber's videos have been a great help to me in figuring out how I want to stitch long lines of continuous feathers. I have a few of her videos and I think this one is best for learning how to make feathers go where I want them to: "DOM Basic Feathers - Borders, Corners and Blocks" http://www.sharonschamber.com/Produc...ductCode=DMQ22 She shows step-by-step how she creates feathers. I learn so much from watching her! I also have her "Free Form Feathers" and "Feather Abundance" videos and like them just as much!
