I have a jelly roll and a layer cake of a fabric collection and trying to decide what to do with it. There is a pattern in a book I have that uses just that combination. the 10" squares are made into hourglass blocks and the JR strips are sashing between all the blocks. It's a plain and simple pattern and I am just stuck on what else I can do with it.
I have played around with using the hourglass blocks inbetween blocks made up of just JR strips. Depending on how the light and dark are pieced and which way they are going has some possibilities.
