Fool's Toffee
This sounds like Fool's Toffee. I love it and it is very easy to make. I make it with saltines but you can use graham crackers also.
1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
36 saltine crackers
12 oz. chocolate chips
1/2 c. crushed walnuts (optional)
Spread an 11x15" cookie sheet with foil. Place crackers close together to form bottom layer. In small saucepan, place butter and brown sugar, heat to boil 4 minutes. Spread evenly over crackers. Bake at 375 degrees for 5 minutes. Remove, sprinkle with chocolate chips evenly over top. Wait a few minutes, then spread with spatula. Sprinkle with nuts. Cool in refrigerator or freezer. Break into pieces. Best stored in the refrigerator.
