I have a Pfaff 2056 I bought in 2005. Love the IDT, needle up/down, auto pressed foot, fmq option, all the stitches, it is a fairly quiet running brand. All my previous machines have been Pfaff. Never had any trouble. I don't think you can go wrong with Pfaff. Love the IDT so much, I leave it on for everything I sew. I think you will be pleased with that machine.
Not sure about the model your interested in but my pressed foot lift is at the back.
