My wedding dress is 32+ years old, and i am sure it would not hold up to me using the fabric in anything. I didn't know about having it sealed back then, and probably didn't have the money anyway.
If it would hold up, and I didn't want to use it for somebody's wedding, I would make pillows with it, for my bed.

I have fabric from when my kids were growing up, that I made them clothes with, so I know some are at least 16-18 years old. Then there are the fabrics that my mother gave me. I have a big trash bag 3/4 full of double knit hexagons from the 70's, and some other stuff that might be close to that.
