I have always been told not to use canned air because it can cause a build up. When I first got my HandiQuilter I was told to buy an air compresser to clean the machine out. Three years later when I have major problems with the machine, and had it cleaned out I was told not to use the compresser to use the tiny vacuum and/or a brush. I use a pipe cleaner to get in the places that a brush won't.
