My hubby also made me one, 20"x48"...wonderful.
I bought the insulate in a package at Joann's.....and spray glued it onto 1/4" plywood board. I then glued "warm & natural" batting on top.
I then made a draw-string muslin cover and pulled tight......
wonderful pressing and sooooo much room.
