I'm 5' 7", not too short. I don't like bottom cabinets very much and only put big things in them.
I'm 4'11" and I don't like bottom cabinets either--bad knees and back. Once I get down, I can't get back up. LOL I'm much safer on a step stool, always making sure I hang on.
