I have a pair of small pliers that I've used before I found finger cots. But now I still don't have the strength to pull the needle through. I'm scheduled for a month of physical therapy and I'm making progress. It's amazing how much muscle you lose when you can't move your arm for 6 weeks.
I think I will be able to sew at my machine if I can get someone to lift it up on my desk. This arm breaking accident happened just a couple of days after we got back from the summer cabin and I hadn't gotten things set back up yet. I'm so happy to do anything! Even doing dishes makes me feel good.... go figure.
I bet a lot of us can relate! I have never broken an arm (knock on wood), but I have broken a hip and femur - from 2 different horse accidents. I know how hard it is to get back to normal! Hang in there. You start with little things - dishes count!
