Hope you heal quickly and don't need the surgery to put in pins. I finally broke down and got a little step ladder (kitchen one with 2 steps) and it works great. Folds up easily and I keep it in the same place all the time where it is out of the way but easy to get. Took me a while to learn to use it but I finally did.
