All the time. It just takes practice. Where is your mouse when you are trying to use the tablet? I've got a USB mouse and if I don't move it away from the tablet, the pen doesn't move right. It's happened in both XP and Ubuntu. It seems like the program is seeing both devices and getting confused.
Don't feel bad if it's hard. I had to buy a gadget called a Y mouse with my first computer. The rest of the family couldn't figure out the click, double click or right click! This was well before USB!
