I have a Shark and have had it for so long, that I don't remember - and no leaks!! I also like it because it does NOT have a teflon bottom. I didn't want a teflon bottom because the last iron I had, the teflon started to melt off and get all over whatever I was working on. The Shark I have is a heavier iron, but thankfully, that is not an issue (at the moment
