LOL. Well, by the sounds of it, I guess I am doomed for luck in 2013. No herring, no collard greens, no beans. We actually took my DH's 85 year old uncle out to a buffet "Christmas" dinner, obviously belated. Nothing even close to that was on the menu, but I'm still blessed because he was so darned happy for the outing. Maybe the clover necklace I got from my mom's recent trip to Ireland will be sufficient. It sure is pretty.

Krystyna - So glad you are back in the swap, and as was already mentioned, your presence is enough. No need for fancy presents for me if you get my name. Will you be reopening your veil shop? And thanks for your kind words about my countenance. If you only knew the shrew I can become if deprived of chocolate, though. lol. The plate of herring is beautifully arranged, but you would have to play a lot of airplane to get me to eat it. I like the red onions and the dill potatoes, though - yummie.

MSCupid - Hope you are doing well and that 2013 will be awesome for you. As far as the boys across the street - they are all in their 50's, and who knows where the money comes from, but the one with the heart issue drinks like a fish and smokes like a chimney. I truly only believe 1/2 of what they have to say. Not that they lie, but they do embellish and once that happens people begin to believe their own tales. Time will tell what transpires.

Quilty-Louise - What a lovely view and beautiful snow, all from the coziness of your own little snug corner. I love snowmen, icicles, etc. Good idea for a theme.

Happy January birthday to all for whom it applies, including my DD, DSIL, DBIL, niece, and aunt - I have to rack my brain for gift ideas since it is so close to Christmas. The previous Aprils must have been otherwise very boring. Did any of you feel cheated as children? I used to let my son (birthday 12/26), and daughter (birthday 1/16) celebrate their birthdays in summer on a weekend day of their choice. It worked out good for everyone, and my bank account had time to recuperate.

Well, with a last name that starts with a "W", I think it will be a while before I receive my SP partner. Half the fun is the anticipation of what the special thing they want will be - IE - Do I already have an extra? Are his/her favorite colors also mine? OR Will I be forced to shop? hahaha.

2013 blessings to all whether you ate beans, herring, liver, or Heaven forbid - mushrooms.
