First, thank you for the responses! I looked at my quilting squared and had a duh! moment. It's 8.5 x 8.5 Soooo, Now I had to redo all of my math! I actually need 33 8x8 squares of each fabric (not including seam allowance). So, If I do 4 16x16, 14 8x8 and 6 4x4 blocks of each color and hope for the best. I'm not doing any sashing, but am thinking of adding a thin border around the fabric. What stinks is now I may be just a little short on fabric since my blocks are now smaller. Hopefully I will have enough of the fabric. My backing is 6 yards of minky dot so I'm not sure if I will be using bating or not for this one. If all goes well, I'll be making a second quilt the same way in different fabric for my other daughter. Any thoughts on the above blocks? Suggestions? I would really appreciate it! Thanks
