When I use packaged binding, I sew on the back of the quilt, bring over to the front, and top stitch with a decorative machine stitch. I use it for quickie projects, like last minute gifts. Open the binding and pin raw edge to raw edge of quilt. Sew along the fold line closest to that raw edge- all the way around. Fold over to front and pin so it is nice and smooth, covering all of the raw edges of the quilt. Sew along the folded edge to finish!
