I too miss the joy and excitement of walking into a LQS as well as the possibility of learning new techniques. I am a few hours northeast of you. Sadly, I find that I end up buying quite a bit of my fabric from the US. Even with shipping, it is often cheaper than our own stores and the selection is so much bigger.
