Bricks and Mortar. 7 X 4 rectangles with a 1/2 inch sashing strip. Add one 1/2 block at the end of the first row, beginning of second, etc; to make a brick pattern. I used 7 1/2 blocks X 18 rows for a twin. Really is pretty in scrappy flannel for a little boy
