I searched here the other day for an easy to make tote and found this post. The video was exactly what I needed, since I'm a very visual learner. I used the opportunity to practice making some pinwheel squares. I made it bigger than what the video shows since I tend to over prepare for wherever I'm going, but it was so easy and straight forward.

I love the bag, the only thing I might do differently next time is add a closure of some kind, but that may be just because my bag is bigger so the opening seems a bit floppy with out a snap or velcro. Oh, and I'm going to add a small inside pocket, not that it needs it, it was a request from my daughter who saw my bag and wants me to make her one now.

One tip, when it's time to sew the liner and straps in, take her advise and go a bit more than 1/4" on the seam, it locks the straps in better. I know me and what kind of weight I'll end up putting in the bag so I reinforced the straps with 2 more rows of stitching.

Thanks for posting this, it was a fun project for an afternoon.
