My most difficult, challenging, and I hope most stunning quilt was a double-wedding ring-- one set of rings overlapping another. (In the photo, the pale "background" "behind" the darker rings, make up another set of rings.) Each 12" square was made up of 88 pieces. There was no strip-piecing; it was all little pieces sewn together. I don't have a close up of it, unfortunately. It was a wedding present to some German friends of ours. It's called Medley from the 1994 book Double Wedding Ring Quilts: New Quilts from an old Favorite. Ah, I found a photo of the original made by its designer here:
