I've done it with the last few quilts and love it! I have a couple tips for you.....you don't need a fine tip or the fancy (and expensive) "basting glue" - Elmer's washable school glue works just fine and washes out completely....you can quilt through the glue spots, even where it globs coming out of the bottle....this isn't a technically precise operation....I hold the bottle above the quilt and squeeze while moving quickly, trying to get my glue lines about 3-4" apart, adding a glue line close to the edges....don't forget to put the glue on the batting, then smoothing the fabric onto the batting (you never get wrinkles or puckers that way).....have fun!
