I put a strip of thin baseboard molding between front sewing table/cabinet legs. It stops the petal from moving under the table. I like to sew with my petal under my chair, I bend my knee. It puts less stress on my foot and hip. I had a PT show me this better way for me. When I go to classes I take a Sta Put mat for the pedal. It works on carpet and bare floors.
This issue seems to be prevalent with foot pedals...you would think the designers would try to address this. I've tried the rubber shelf liners, etc and the darn thing still moves around.
