Default Looking for advice on a pattern

Hello all, I have a book called Heartland Quilts by Lila Lee Jones and she has a quilt called Missouri Daisy. I love this quilt. The book has the pattern pieces, but my question to you all is, is there a better way to make this quilt than to sew it by hand, which is the way she has it written. The pieces are curved and I am not a skilled hand piecer.
If you are unfamiliar with this quilt go to www.quiltindex.org and if you select listing the quilts A-Z it is the 9th one down. (Sorry I couldn't get a link to work)
Has anyone ever made this quilt and can give me some pointers or the best way to go about making it? I would so appreciate any advice.
Thanks, Gina
