I find that the first step in a restoration should be doing lots of research. You need to make a "roadmap" of where you are to where you want to end up.

Doing this lets you make a list of what things actually need to be done. Then you can start working on developing a list of methods that you'll need to be able to employees to do those things. And the last step would be to have a clear intent on what level of restoration you're planning to do, it can be anything from "I just want it to work" to "I want it to look brand new".


Once you know specifically what parts and what they're made of that you want to restore at what level you want to restore them too then I can make suggestions as to methods to use.
