The piecing order on that particular block, as presented, is a kinda funky.
So don't feel too bad if you got a bit messed up.
(Mind you, I didn't see the instructions, just looking at the pic of the pieced block.)
On a traditional regulare LC block, you continue adding logs in a clockwise (or counter) for the entire block.
Here, you sort of backtrack.
I think maybe they did it that way to avoid having bulky seams when the blocks are joined.
So it's the center, white1, white2, (and then instead of a short pink continuing in the same direction, you goback to the other side of the center) for the short pink, then it continues normally again, long pink, white3, white4.
Like I said, funky.
