I don't see anything "different" about it. It's being constructed counter-clockwise. I think that's the way I usually do it. You add B,B,C,C,B,B with B's being 1.5" and C's being 2.5". You just missed the last two B's. Did you download the instructions? They tell you the size of the block after each log is added. Personally, I prefer Judy Martin's method of doing log cabin, pre-cutting the strips to the right length.
