It's beautiful....perhaps it is Scottish in origin....many Scottish/British families have crests...so could be representative of a Scottish Clan name. Each representation on a crest has a meaning.....I found a link to an interesting site which lists what each thing means....I think in the case of this shield, crown, rams head and daggers.
