Carrie...my design wall is similar to Jeanie's except I used batting which I had on hand. It will be replaced eventually. I second what she said about size. Mine is 6x8 and it doesn't fit a queen size quilt and then there are times when you want to audition more than one project...!
Jeanie...your quilt looks good to me! I'll admit when I first saw it taking shape, I wasn't too pleased but after I did the layout....on the floor because my wall isn't big enough...I like the overall affect. To me it's just a fun, happy quilt. I haven't started sewing my blocks together yet since I do have other projects in line before it. Today I WILL finish my BBs! I have the Ocean Wave under control and have straightened up my sewing room and am ready to get afte some UFO's.
Mirabelle... I tried some FMQ today but I'm not quite ready to jump off into the deep end of the pool. I found some designs that I can used with a walking foot so that's where I'm going to start. Feathers will just have to wait.
