I think the creases matter. I make a lot of Linus quilts and I purchase the ten yard rolls of batting that Joann's sells for that purpose. They are rolled on a carboard tube. What irks me is that about halfway through they always have a huge folded ridge in the middle because they are stored vertically. Even if I lay them out on my ping pong table for days it doesn't go away. Since I like to cut out and baste two or three at a time when I am in production mode this slows down my work. Since it is a ten yard roll of batting it is a little big to put in the dryer. I manage but I wish there was another way to get that much batting without it being rolled.
