Joe, what is wrong with piecing with a treadle? I love to piece using my 319w in treadle, or my Two Spools treadle. I find it just as fast as using the "lectrik mocheen." I don't see why it is a problem unless you are new to treadling and have trouble with thread breaking. When I first started treadling I would not have pieced with a treadle - all I did was sew forward then go back - breaking thread constantly. But, after lots of practice, I don't see a different in treadling or using an electric machine, except for speed. If you are racing like I did Sunday in a class, you need electric to keep up!
