I think 66K means it was made in Scotland?
>Correct

And I recognize the decals that characterize some 66 names. Lotus, Red Eye etc
>Correct

But I also see 66-16, 66-1, 66-18
>The decals have no bearing on the model numbers. I have a 66-1 and two 66-4s all red eyes. The -## equates to the model variations. The 66-16 has a lever that controls the stitch length. The 66-18 is the same mechanically as the -16 but is the black crinkle finish.
There are many variations and I don't know them all. The best place to read up on these old Singers is ISMACS:
{ http://www.ismacs.net/home.html }

I was given a blackside/crinkle Singer (not too clear if there is a difference)this month which is like showroom new
I've turned it into a treadle and I'd like to get or print out a manual and attachments (well the seam guide and screw) but the different numbers make me leery.
>You can get .pdf files to print yourself from Singer and other places. ALL low shank attachments will work on all the 66s after the -1 models. The -1's used the back clamp feet, all the others use low shank feet.

The serial number is AJ243304 which indicates it was allotted November 1949
Does that tell anyone which model it is?
> It is a model 66. One of 25,000 allotted 11-29-49

Another number question
I see 15 clones being referred to as both 15-90 and 15-91
What is the difference.
>The clones are actually closer to the Singer 15-90. The 15-90 has the bracket mounted motor that drives the machine with a belt. The 15-91 has the potted motor that drives the machine via gears.

Thanks, I so appreciate having a place I can ask my noob questions.
>Any time.

Hope I helped some. I don't know everything, and I try to keep my answers as accurate as I can.
