I have been to estate/yard sales that will fold the yardage and use masking tape to bundle it and price is on the tape. less than the plastic ziplock bag. if it is small pieces the bag works as well. If it is good cotton fabric is does go for a bit more than $1.
DON"T use masing tape...please use blue painter's tape...it will come off without residue.
They do the same thing around here...use enough tape to go around it twice...it stops people from opening it a bit.
