I quilt by myself every day. Quilting in a group would BE a new thing for me to try, and something I think I would enjoy. I'm not a sunbather, don't really care to swim, and can't imagine taking a cruise where there wasn't something to do all day other than look out at water.

Maybe working full time and not quilting as much as I'd like makes a difference, too?
Oh there is more than just swimming, they have shows, casino, rockclimbing, lounges with music, golf i think on some, plus there are many nonquilt related excursion on shore, all meals are cooked beautifully, buffet anytime you want, maids clean your room. Staff is amazing wonderful and hardworking. They are great even without the quilting and I long to go on another one. The benifit of the quilt cruises is the world renowned teachers aboard that you can learn from is why I would want to go. My hubby also loves cruising and is dying to go on another one so don't discount hubbies. They also had craft activites aboard my last one, not quilt related, but there were different activities. I mostly enjoyed the fine dining, the broadway style shows at night, and the lounges. I think I got in the hot tub one time on the cruise. My hubby liked the rock climbing wall. I took a couple good books to read on deck. I highly recommend at least going on a short regular weekend one to see if you will like it, just in case you get sea sick which i don't think is too easy unless you hit rough waters ie a hurricane otherwise you hardly feel the boat move unless you are on the top deck of the ship you can feel it. You can get sick in rough waters so I don't recommend going during hurricane season...........................
