Thank you all for your comments. The pattern shows a bit of a different design. When I went to sew the tubes together, they started to go caddywompus on me after 9, so I stopped (supposed to be 12). I thought I'd just make smaller squares and more of them. I think it turned out OK. We're on day 4 now, and the rug is laying totally flat, so I'm happy with it. I am already thinking about making more....as a table topper, trivet, coffee table center piece, or even to set the computer on the desk so it's easy to slide out of the way. So many uses!
