I love this thread. Someone shared a story with me about giving out quilts to children in the hospital. They let the kids pick which quilt they wanted . One ugly quilt in purple and brown continued to be eft behind unchosen UNTIL one child was drawn to it. She chose it for her own. when asked why she picked out this quilt, she replied that it reminded her of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. A sandwich that she loved but cannot eat. You see, she is allergic to peanuts. I just about bawled at hearing this story. I LOVE peanut butter and for a child to not be able to enjoy one, it broke my heart. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! So true in this case.
