Nancy, yes Carly is one of our cats. The fuzzy thing is a raccoon tail that our youngest DD got at Sauder Village, a pioneer museum in NW Ohio a few years back. The cats like to carry it around the house.
My cutting table is my old dropleaf dining room table. It's just the right height for rotary cutting (for me, anyway). I usually keep one leaf up and one down (as in the photo). When I'm basting a large quilt, I open it up all the way and rotate it diagonally so that it fits in the room better.
