My suggestion would be to move Sam on the lower corner on block to the left (or under the barn). And I would move the bird from the upper corner down one block and get it off the corner. Both of these applique blocks have a lot of background showing feeling "light" while the pieced stars have a "weighterier" feel. Otherwise, it looks good. Workmanship/color selections are very appealing.
I think these changes would provide a better balance. Just my opinion though. Please show us the top or quilt once you have finished.
