I love that you found a way to help him understand. It took me a long time to work out that the only way my husband could understand the spirit in which I enter any crafty shop is the same as he feels when he goes to a hardware store/DIY shop. (The only place of commerce he will enter with no fixed purchase in mind, and linger just to look to see what they've got)
