No, I don't plan to sew at this table, although it will adjust to sewing level.
Wow, now you gave me an idea..... I could have a sewing party in my sewing room with this table and it will seat several sewers. I am leaning toward trying it out since there is the 30 day return policy. Thanks again for your help.

It is sturdy and one of the only things that survived the flood -- except for the shelves. How sturdy do you need it to be? Are you going to sit on it? No. You'll cut fabric on it and you'll sandwich. IMHO, go for it!
