Janome Horizon's don't cost $7500. You should be able to buy one for about $3000 or lower. I had the 6500 before I upgraded to the Horizon. It's a great machine. The 6600 is a step up from the 6500 with the acufeed. It would also be a great machine. I don't know what the problem was with Shelbie's experience. It sounds like it needs some service work. I have 4 other friends that have had either a 6500 or 6600 without any problems. Two of them upgraded to the Horizon before I did. Janomes are great machines!! Good luck!!
